We conduct IRB-approved clinical trials in multiple therapeutic areas, offering eligible participants no-cost investigational medications, vaccines, devices, and diagnostic tests. Clinical research at Valley Family Medicine is built on a foundation of safety, ethics, and community engagement. Every study we conduct has been reviewed by an independent Institutional Review Board (IRB) to protect participant rights and well-being. Our experienced clinical research coordinators and principal investigators guide volunteers through the entire process: initial phone screening, informed consent, comprehensive medical evaluation, study visits, and follow-up. Participants receive all study-related care at no cost, including physical exams, laboratory work, EKGs, and the investigational product itself. Many studies also offer stipends for time and travel.
Northridge residents can participate in trials addressing common and serious health conditions. Our current and upcoming portfolio includes studies for type 2 diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), osteoarthritis, chronic pain, migraines, dermatologic conditions (eczema, psoriasis), and infectious diseases such as COVID-19, influenza, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). We also conduct vaccine clinical trials and studies focused on weight management and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). By joining a trial, you not only gain access to potential new therapies but also receive close medical monitoring from our dedicated research team.
For research sponsors and contract research organizations (CROs), Valley Family Medicine offers a reliable, patient-centered site with rapid start-up, diverse enrollment, and high retention. Our urgent care setting provides access to a broad patient population across the San Fernando Valley, including Northridge. We deliver quality data, strict protocol adherence, and timely reporting.
